These terms are an agreement between you and Kin Ceremony covering your use of kinceremony.com and the Kin Ceremony application. By creating a workspace, accepting an invitation, or opening a family intake link, you agree to them.
Funeral home workspaces may be created by a person authorised to act for that business. Family members use the service through a private link or invitation issued by a funeral home. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
New funeral home workspaces receive a 30-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged during the trial; on day 31 the selected plan begins billing at the price shown at signup unless you cancel first.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Plan & usage; access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices, included case volume, and overage rates are published on our Pricing page and may change with at least 30 days' notice. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Funeral homes and families own the information, photographs, and documents they upload. You grant Kin Ceremony a limited licence to store, process, display, and transmit that content solely to provide the service, including generating drafts with AI at your request. You are responsible for having the right to share the content you upload, including photographs and music titles.
Obituary, program, and playlist drafts are generated from the details you provide and are starting points, not finished documents. Review every draft before it is approved, printed, or published. Kin Ceremony is not responsible for errors in content that has been approved by a funeral home or family.
We work to keep Kin Ceremony available around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced where practical. Support is provided by email and through the application during business hours.
Kin Ceremony is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed print deadlines.
You may close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment or material breach of these terms after reasonable notice where possible. On termination you may export your case data for 30 days, after which it is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent through our Contact page.
